If you ever need to know how to get the stench out of a smelly book

i.e., I bought a book off of Amazon and it smelled like cigarettes.

Stick dryer sheets inside a few of the pages.  It also makes the book smell like clean clothes!  I also put this thing that absorbs smelly odors—originally used for smelly closets.  The tag fell off, so I don’t know what it’s called, but  I read somewhere that you can put the book in a tightly closed bag with some baking soda.  I’d advise that you just open the box of baking soda rather than sprinkling baking soda in the bag.  That way you don’t have get the stuff all over you when you read your book!
